Luciano Arrambide-Rosales for MetSpacer Spotlight

Luciano Arrambide-Rosales made his way from Mexico to Canada with his family in 2016. In Mexico he began his journey into law where he studied and earned his grades in law, accounting and a master in finance while he his knowledge in international taxation. These studies were accomplished in the UANL, ITESM, ITAM, Tulane University and Duke University. With his partners Arrambide-Rosales started their practice in Tax Law in Mexico where it is still continuing today. Before immigrating to Canada Luciano’s law firm was in constant communication with their Canadian clients. As the success of his firm continued to grow it made the decision to come to Canada easier. As soon as he landed in the province of Quebec he decided to improve his knowledge in Canadian law.
“I started studying at the Université du Montréal two years ago in order to get better knowledge of Quebec law, and to extend my license to practice in Quebec. This was the reason I came to MetSpace. I needed a place to work but also study. MetSpace allowed me to make the necessary adjustments that I required to follow my studies as well as take care of my practice” The decision for Mr. Arrambide and his family to come to Montreal was an easy one. “We love the culture of the city. We looked at other cities in Canada but Montreal was more diverse. We did have our challenges at first and had to learn a new language in an unfamiliar environment but we loved the experience. With time we were able to embrace not only the French language but the culture as well”. Luciano Arrambide began his career in Mexico: “I focus on NAFTA, and other international trades. I advise companies in Canada who have a manufacture process in Mexico as well as overseas. My goal is to provide them with the correct tools and encourage them to take advantage of the different programs available to them”. Mr. Arambide’s father started his own law practice in Mexico 40 years ago, where Luciano was first introduced to the world of law. Walking in his father’s footsteps Mr. Arrambide started as an intern before enrolling in university. With more than 20 years of experience Mr. Arrambide started his own firm in 2010. During his years in the field of law Luciano has said a major asset he has maintained and requires from all his employees is focus on attention to detail. “In my field of practice, it is essential that we pay attention to details. It’s absolutely necessary that we pay attention to every aspect of the files, we can’t let anything fall through the cracks” he said. “It’s important to have skills in organization as well as knowing what the end goal of your client is. If the goal is clear then the path to your success is easier” he reiterated. After 10 years of launching his law firm Mr. Arrambide says “[…] when you have amazing staff everyone wants the team to succeed. Sometimes you have different personalities and sometimes they clash. It’s about finding that necessary balance to make sure the team works well together in every capacity. We all have a common goal and that is to make sure our clients are happy with the work we put in and the council we give them”. “One of the biggest challenges I had was dividing my time between work and family. I just finished my studies for the bar. I had to juggle going to school, studying, working, and being a husband and father. It was difficult but I set priorities for myself and tried my best to respect those priorities. When it was time to study, it was time to study. When I had to come to Metspace and work it was strictly about work. There were days where I didn’t get as much done as I would have hoped but then I just reassessed myself and pushed my plans a little further to accommodate my family” said Rosales when he reflected on his family and work life. “When I came to MetSpace I felt so welcomed. The people in the space are down to earth and professional. The staff is so inviting and friendly and the services are excellent. Metspace helps me run my business by taking care of the little things like mail management, conference room bookings and reception services so I can focus on my schedule”. [:]
