Our Story
From an Empty Office
to a Community
Metspace did not start with a business plan. It started with a family, an unused space, and a few students who needed a place to work.
In 2013, Caterina Mazzone and Paolo Catania closed a family business and were left with an empty office. The following year, Paolo enrolled in real estate school. As his courses went on, his classmates started showing up at that office to study and work together.
Before long, they asked if they could rent space there. In Caterina's words, "Voilà, Metspace was born."
Saint-Léonard became our first location simply because that is where the office was. The West Island followed as part of a plan to reach the four corners of Montreal, then grow nationally and internationally. In 2023, Metspace expanded into Ontario, including the GTA and Ottawa, while continuing to help property owners turn unused commercial space into revenue.
